Martha Eva Morgan, 81, of Grandview, Missouri, passed away Tuesday, September 2, 2008 at Kansas City Hospice House. Memorial services will be held at 3:00 p.m. Friday, September 5th at Royer Funeral Home, Grain Valley, MO. The family will receive friends from 2:00 p.m. until service time at the funeral home.

Martha was born on September 19, 1926, in Newport, Arkansas, the daughter of Thomas H. and Mary F. (Purcell) Ballard. She married Raymond W. Morgan on December 18, 1983. Martha retired from the Kansas City, Missouri Police Department, where she worked as a switchboard operator. She moved to Chandler, AZ in 1986 and back to Kansas City in 2004. She attended Discovery Church in Grain Valley.

Martha was preceded in death by her husband, her parents, two brothers, two sisters, and a grandson.

Her survivors include one daughter: Anna L. Mason & her husband, Charles of Blue Springs, MO; two step-daughters: Connie R. Liles of Independence, MO, and Sherry A. Baker of Gilbert, AZ; one son: Ronald Roe & his wife, Mary of Grandview, MO; one brother: Albert Ballard of Hesperia, CA; twelve grandchildren; twenty-three great-grandchildren; three great great-grandchildren; and several nieces & nephews.
