Cecil Irene Morrison, 85, of Grain Valley, Missouri, passed away Friday, December 19, 2014 at Oak Grove Nursing & Rehab. Memorial services will be held at 7:00 p.m. Friday, December 26th at Royer Funeral Home, Grain Valley. The family will receive friends from 5:30 p.m. until service time at the funeral home.
Irene was born July 24, 1929, in Odessa, Missouri, the daughter of Cecil J. and Vera J. (McClure) Pallette. She was a housewife and worked as a grocery clerk in Odessa for 20 years. After moving to Grain Valley, she provided child care in her home for over 20 years, retiring in 1991. Irene was involved with the Grain Valley Fair Board, Senior Citizen Christmas baskets & Santa Bus.
Irene was preceded in death by her parents; two brothers, Vernon & Norris Pallette; one sister, Louise; and one grandson, Neal Stewart.
Her survivors include daughter Debbie (Fred) Green, daughter Sharon Stewart, & son Cam Morrison; granddaughter Kirstin (Steve) Whitton & granddaughter Cami (Ryan) Knight, all of Grain Valley; granddaughter Michelle (Jason) Titus of Mulvane, KS; grandson Jordan Morrison of Independence, MO; grandson Sean Morrison of Grain Valley; and nine great-grandchildren.
