Helen “Louie” Louise O’Dell age 87 of Independence, MO. passed away on Saturday September 22, 2018 after a brief battle with cancer.
Louie was born on November 26, 1930 in Independence MO. the daughter of Carl and Helen (Thompson) Huntsucker. She was a lifelong resident of Independence and graduate of Chrisman High School class of 48. She Married Keith O’Dell prior to his deployment in Korea and upon his return they built their 1st house and started a family. Louie was active in her church, a Sunday School Teacher and WMU member. She was multi-talented, enjoying crocheting, macraméing and painting. She always wanted to keep learning and growing. Louie was always there to lend a hand, an ear or a covered dish, whatever was necessary.
Services will be held Saturday, October 6, 2018 at the Six Mile Baptist Church. Visitation will begin at 10:00 a.m. and the memorial service will follow immediately after.
