Judith “Judy” K. Rice passed away at the age of 77 on Oct 1, 2021 at home surrounded by family. The family will have a celebration of life on Oct 16th 2021 at her home from 2pm-5pm. In lieu of flowers the family would like donations to be made to the Susan B. Komen breast cancer society in her name and to the Downs Syndrome Innovations in the name of Maverick McNally.

Judy was a lifelong resident of the Blue Summit Community where she was known as Momma Judy by several kids that grew up there.  She loved sitting outside on her front porch and planting flowers in her flower barrels. She was the happiest when she was around her family telling her grandchildren and great grandchildren about her childhood and the things that she did. She will be most remembered by the kids in her community as always being the person that they were able to come to no matter what time the day or night.

She is preceded in death by her husband James E Rice II.

Survivors include her brother; Bill (Edna) Claibourn. Three children; Tracie Rice (Bingo), James (Kim) Rice III, Michael (Jennifer) Treft. 8 grandchildren, 3 great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
