Joyce Ann Pugh, 80, of Independence, Missouri, died at 9:15 a.m. on Saturday, February 3, 2018. Services will be held Thursday, February 8th at Faith United Methodist Church, 1950 SW Eagles Pkwy, Grain Valley, MO 64029, with visitation at 11:00 a.m., funeral service at 12:00 p.m., followed by burial in Valley Memorial Gardens, Grain Valley. Expressions of sympathy may take the form of contribution to the church or to the American Stroke Foundation.
Joyce was born in McCracken County, KY and moved to the Kansas City area in 1958. She was a wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. Joyce was an avid cook and enjoyed serving meals to family and friends. Until her declining health, she was active in her church. She was employed by Torotel Inc. for many years as an administrative assistant.
Surviving are her husband, Ralph T. Pugh; daughter, Kim Loesing (Cary); son, Kurt T. Pugh; grandson, Chet Loesing (Erica); granddaughter, Joanna McCall (Nick); five great-grandchildren; and numerous nephews and a niece. She is preceded in death by her parents, Otho Vern and Annie Wilma Anderson; two sisters; and a brother.
