Rose M. Rapa


A Celebration of Life for Rose Mary Rapa, 56, of Blue Springs, MO, who passed away Friday, September 19, 2014, at St. Mary’s Medical Center of Blue Springs, MO, of natural causes, will be held at 10:00 AM, October 12, 2014 at Acquaint Gathering (512 Capelle St. Grain Valley, MO 64029.

Rose Mary was born on December 15th, 1957 in Pocahontas, Arkansas to Charles Scott “Shorty” & Joyce Marcella (Haynes) Rapa. Rose Mary had a large family including siblings, cousins, aunts, uncles, grandparents, and many more extended family members. Her siblings include Ronnie Rapa, Rick Rapa, Rene Weseman, Rita Rapa, Ramona Browning, Timothy Milligan, Todd Milligan, Jason Brooks and Lynette Brooks. The majority of Rose Mary’s childhood took place in Pocahontas and Ravenden, Arkansas where she attended Sloan Hendrix Elementary and High School. She had many talents and interests including drawing, scrapbooking, crafting, taking care of horses and so much more. She had a deep passion and concern for her family and pressed upon them the importance of taking care of one another.

She is survived by her children: Victorian & Kenneth Benjamin of Lockwood, NY; Kelly & Scott Wilson of Grain Valley, MO; Kenneth Mayberry Jr; grandchildren: Samantha Campbell of Lockwood, NY; Kayla, Patricia & Brianka Benjamin of Lockwood, NY; Aurora & Nolen Wilson of Grain Valley, MO; Evan & Kaylee Mayberry of San Antonio, TX; great-grandchildren: Jasik &  Carter Campbell of Lockwood NY.

She was preceded in death by Christopher Mayberry, son; Timothy Milligan, brother; Charles Rapa, father, Joyce Haynes, mother; and Dorothy Rapa, step-mother.
