Wilbern Rosevelt “Rosie” Reddell, 82, of Grain Valley, Missouri, passed into glory Friday, June 22, 2012 at home, with his family by his side. Funeral services will be held at 12:00 noon Monday, June 25th at Crown Pointe Church, Lee’s Summit, MO; burial in Swan Lake Memorial Gardens, Grain Valley. The family will receive friends from 11:00 a.m. until service time at the church. Contributions may be made to Vitas Hospice.
Rosie was born May 20, 1930 in Newton County, Arkansas, the son of George and Senda (Hicks) Reddell. He married Vivian Hampton on Sept. 10, 1953. They were blessed with 58 years of marriage, 4 daughters, and 7 grandchildren. Rosie retired from Cramer Industry after 35 years. He & Vivian spent many of their retirement years traveling in their RV across the country.
Rosie was preceded in death by his parents; three brothers, Dean, Robert & Kenneth Reddell; an infant sister; and one daughter, Connie Reddell.
His survivors include his wife, Vivian Reddell of the home; three daughters: Sandy Manley of Mayview, MO, Debbie Boltz & husband, Mike of Grain Valley, and Sheila Wilke & husband, Jeff of Grain Valley; “Pa’s” grandkids that he was so proud of: Cody & Dillon Manley, Teresa & Matthew Boltz, Janean Galate & husband Vince, and Kelsey & Lanae Wilke; three brothers: Duster, Velmer, & Berry Reddell; two sisters: Imogene Faught & Joyce Middleton; and a host of nieces & nephews.
While our hearts are heavy, we are comforted with the knowledge that he is rejoicing in Heaven and feel blessed & honored that we were gifted with the best husband, Dad & “Pa” in the world.
