John Edward Robards Sr., 54, of Independence, Missouri, passed away Sunday, November 19, 2017. A small gathering of family and friends will be held at 1:00 p.m. Saturday, December 2nd at Hope House, 2025 S. Jackson Drive, Independence, MO 64057.
John was born December 15, 1962, in Kansas City, Missouri, the son of John Henry and Vivian Louise (Ross) Robards. After his formative years, he joined the U.S. Navy.
He is survived by his wife of 30 years, Shelley Robards; three children: Elizabeth Robards, John Robards Jr., and Matthew Robards; three grandchildren; four sisters: Janet Vaughn, Linda Ward, Margo Wolkins, and Melody Miller.
John was surrounded by his family and friends with love and peace in his heart. He was a wonderful husband, father, brother, and friend. John will be pain free in the Lord’s arms for all eternity. He will be missed by all that knew him. Rest in peace, John.
