Roy E. Rosamond, 58, formerly of Blue Springs, MO passed away January 12, 2013 at his home in Des Moines, IA.
Family will receive friends 5-6 pm Thursday, January 17, 2013 at Royer Funeral Home, Oak Grove, MO. A Memorial Service will follow at 6:00 p.m. at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers the family suggest Memorial Contributions to his granddaughters college fund.
Roy was born February 7, 1954 in Kansas City, MO to Roy Alvin & Jean (McGlasson) Rosamond. October 8, 1989 Roy married Sharon Lynn Robinson. Roy was a Tech Support for Siemens Medical Center for over 35 years. Roy was a graduate of Missouri Institute of Technology.
Roy enjoyed playing golf, bowling and was a member of the U.S. Bowling Congress. He also enjoyed the KC Chiefs, and spending time with his family and especially the love of his life, his granddaughter Eva.
Roy is survived by his wife: Sharon Rosamond of the home; 1 daughter: Shannon Jorgenson & her husband Matt of Des Moines, IA; granddaughter: Eva Jorgenson of Des Moines, IA; parents: Roy & Jean Rosamond; 1 sister: Donna Reader & husband Vaun; 1 brother: Michael Rosamond; 3 nephews: Ernie Stewart & wife Michelle, Ryan Luna, Richard Luna & wife Raven; Uncle Elroy & Aunt Linda Rosamond; 3 great nieces, 1 great nephew, 1 great-great nephew, 1 great-great niece, all of Oak Grove, MO.
