Richard D. Rupert

Richard David “Corky” Rupert, 83, of Independence, Missouri, passed away Sunday, May 27, 2012.  The family will hold private services following cremation.

Corky was born November 2, 1928.  He was a resident of the Independence / Blue Springs area most of his life.  He spent his adult life in the business of injection molding of plastics; currently working at Ruco Products of Blue Springs.  Corky was a pilot of small aircraft (including sea planes), a seasoned traveler, enjoyed the challenge of billiards, and also had an interest in farming.  He cherished memories made with family and friends – he was a participant of life.  Corky was grateful for the years spent at Wentworth Military Academy in Lexington, MO, and the years served in the United States Army Reserves.  He appreciated our country beyond measure.  Corky honored life and life honored him.  He will be sorely missed.

Survivors include his wife, Anna Mae Rupert; daughter, Brenda Rupert; daughter & son-in-law, Jill & Ray Kowalik; granddaughter, Sabrina; and brother-in-law, Gale Howard.

Arrangements: Royer-Hays Funeral Home, Blue Springs, MO 64015   816-229-5551
