Robert “Bob” Dean Rymer, beloved husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, and friend, passed away Monday, August 27, 2018, at the age of 81. Memorial services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, September 1st at Royer Funeral Home, Oak Grove, MO. The family will receive friends from 1:00 p.m. until service time at the funeral home.
Bob was born December 31, 1936, in Kansas City, Missouri, the son of Darby H. and Grace I. (Higby) Rymer. He grew up in Kansas City, and moved to Raytown, MO, in 1948, where he graduated from Raytown High School in 1956. Bob married Jacqueline L. Correll on March 23, 1973. He was employed by General Motors in Leeds, MO, retiring in 1988, and was a member of Local Union #93. After retirement, he and Jackie moved to Oak Grove. Bob had a love of old classic cars and spent many hours going to car shows. He & Jackie loved to travel in their motor home and vacationed in many states. Bob will be lovingly remembered by all who knew him.
He leaves behind his beloved wife of 45 years, Jackie Rymer of the home; four children: Sandra Brattin, Rhonda Rymer, Lori Zimmerschied, and Terry Clark; eight grandchildren; and ten great-grandchildren. Bob was preceded in death by his parents; four brothers: Warren, Gordon, Ralph, and Darby; and one sister, Mary Kay.
