Joe V. Sebben Sr., 81, of Odessa, Missouri, went to be with his Lord in Heaven on Sunday, June 28, 2015. The visitation will be held from 1:30 – 3:00 p.m., with the service to follow at 3:00 p.m. on Thursday, July 2nd at First Baptist Church of Oak Grove, 400 E. 14th Street, Oak Grove, MO. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests contributions to the Elderberries Mission Fund in care of First Baptist Church.
Joe was born June 11, 1934, in Seymour, Iowa. He worked at Armco Steel as a Union Welder for 41 years, retiring in 1998. Joe had a passion for traveling and fishing.
His survivors include his wife of 43 years, Virginia (Lickteig) Sebben of the home; 10 children: Joe Sebben Jr. (Mary) of Raymore, David Sebben (Kim) of Atlanta, Julia Chandler of Leavenworth, WA, Benny Marrone (Sue) of Independence, Tom Marrone of Independence, Mike Marrone of Watauga, TX, Robert Marrone (Julie) of Columbia, Mary Jo Casa (Angelo) of Independence; Emma Vantine (Jerry) of Grain Valley, & Bena Baker (Troy) of Odessa; 19 grandchildren; and 23 great-grandchildren. He will be deeply missed by his family and friends.
