Steven L. Snyder, Jr., 28 of Buckner, MO, passed away February 17, 2020.
Steven was born July 19, 1991 in Independence, MO. He married Savanna Taylor on March 21, 2018.
Steven was preceded in death by his maternal grandfather: Fred Fensom; Aunt: Ann Johnson and grandfather: Tom Burgess. Steven is survived by his wife Savanna of the home; daughter: Ava of the home, son: Cooper of the home; mother: Lea Ann Morton (Jimm) of Sibley, MO; sister: Nichole Snyder of Grain Valley, MO; mother in law: Amy Landry; father in law: Michael Taylor; maternal grandmother: Shirley Fensom; uncles: Dude Johnson, Carroll Johnson; grandmother: Joni Burgess; cousins: Danna Rose, Karlie Rose Clark, and Cassidy Fensom; several brother and sister in laws; several nieces and nephews: Jayda, Libby, Chance, Zephie, Brantley, Carolina, Gracie; Best Friends: Clayton Stewart, Kodey Divers, Spencer Gearhart, Josh Goth, Zach Corbitt, Dylan Corbitt, Chris Hamilton, Billy Logan, Dylan Nix, Jordan Lewis, and so many others.
Steven graduated from Fort Osage High School in 2010, followed by a football scholarship to William Jewell College. A few years later, he graduated from MCC with his associate’s degree and was finally able to pursue his lifetime dream of becoming a paramedic and a firefighter. Steven spent many years playing football and baseball. He was an avid hunter and fisherman; he loved nature and spending any time he could outdoors. Above all else, Steven’s greatest accomplishment was becoming a father. He was the most proud of the family he built.
Steven’s memorial will be held from 1-4pm on Sunday, February 23rd, 2020 at the Independence VFW, 1002 E. Hwy 24 #3106, Independence, MO 64050. The family would like those who love Steven to come and go as they please – there will be an opportunity for anyone who would like to speak or share their favorite memories beginning at 2:30pm.
