Robert William (Bob) Stevens, 62, of Blue Springs, Missouri, was welcomed into Heaven on Saturday, July 15, 2006. A gathering of family and friends will be held on Wednesday, July 19th from 6:00 – 8:00 p.m. at Royer Funeral Home, Grain Valley, MO. Funeral services will follow on Thursday, July 20th at 11:00 a.m.; burial in Valley Memorial Gardens, Grain Valley. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests contributions be made to Parkinson’s Disease Foundation, online at pdf.org, or the Blue Springs Christian Church Building Fund.

Bob was born on March 1, 1944, in Lathrop, Missouri, and graduated from the Engineering School at the University of Missouri- Rolla. He retired from the Army Corps of Engineers in 1999, after 30 years of service.

He was an active member of the Blue Springs Christian Church and was a proud Grandpa, famous for showing pictures of his only grandson.

Bob was preceded in death by his parents, Robert P. & Audrey C. Stevens and a brother, Charles Stevens. He leaves a loving and caring family, including his wife of 38 years, Carol of the home; son, Eric Stevens & fiance, Heather Snodgrass, of Blue Springs, MO; son, Brian Stevens & wife, Kris, and grandson, Kellen of Grain Valley, MO; and brothers, Wayne Stevens and Paul Stevens, both of Cameron, MO.
