Beverly J. Sweet, 74, of Blue Springs, Missouri, passed away Friday, October 9th, 2009 at Centerpoint Medical Center, Independence, Missouri. Memorial services will be held on Monday, October 12th, 2009 at 6:00 p.m. at the Royer Funeral Home, Grain Valley, Missouri. The family will receive friends from 5:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. preceding the service. In lieu of flowers, family suggests memorial contributions to Boy Scouts of America- Heart of America Council.
Beverly was born on March 7th, 1935 in Pennsylvania, the daughter of William and Alma Ruth (Miller) Burkett. On December 27th, 1955 Beverly married the love of her life Edgar Sweet.
Beverly was preceded in death by her parents; William and Alma Ruth Burkett, two brothers, Jack and Billy Burkett, and one sister, Marjorie Pardee.
Her survivors include her husband, Eddie Sweet of the home, two sons, Ed (Joanne) Sweet of New Braunfels, TX, and Billy (Kathy) Sweet of Blue Springs, MO, two sisters, Laura (Earl) Fenton of Ligonier, PA, and Margaret (William) Stutzman of Seward, PA, two granddaughters Rachel and Kayla of Blue Springs, MO, Aunts, Cousins, Nieces and Nephews.
