Michael Lynn Izatt, 70, of Independence, Missouri passed away on Tuesday, November 30, 2021. A Memorial Service will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Thursday, December 9, 2021. The family will receive friends from 12:00 p.m. until service time at the funeral home.
Michael was born May 2, 1951 in Taylorsville, Illinois, son of Morris G. and Elizabeth A. (Welch) Izatt. He was a phenomenal guitar player. Michael found solace tending his garden. He received honors over the many years of his nursing career. In his younger years, Michael enjoyed scuba diving, as a certified scuba diver. He was an avid lover of his L.P’s. Michael finished the MS 150 in honor of his sister-in-law, Melody. He spent much time studying the scripture. Michael enjoyed making trips to Michigan and visiting the places he grew up.
He is preceded in death by his parents.
Michael is survived by his wife of 45 years, Wanita Izatt of the home; son, Jeremy (Anne) Izatt and grandchildren: Emily and Jacob; son, Daniel (Carrie) Izatt and grandchildren: Elizabeth, Liam and Elliott; son, Matthew (Fatima) Izatt; brother, Richard (Melody) Izatt; and brother, Jim (Suzi) Izatt.
