Carolyn L. Thurn, 66, of Independence, Missouri, passed away Tuesday, April 14, 2015. Memorial services will be held from 1-4 p.m. Sunday, April 19th at The Cotillion Room and Gardens in Independence.
Carolyn Thurn was united in marriage to Larry Thurn Sr. on March 13, 1965. She is survived by her husband Larry; Son Larry Thurn Jr. (Laci); Daughter, Amy Steinfadt (Kyle); Four grandchildren Dakota, Dayton, Delaney Thurn and Kylie Steinfadt; Two sisters Margarette Findley an Donna Rose Collins; One brother Arvel Kincaid; Numerous nieces, nephews and extended family. Carolyn is preceded in death by her son Andrew Thurn in 2012.
Carolyn was a lady of many talents. She was a successful hair stylist, owning her own salon, an accomplished artist, a certified scuba diver, and a loyal friend to many.
