Curtis Charles Wallace, known by most as “Red”, passed away Wednesday, December 6, 2017 at the age of 55. Memorial services with Military Honors will be held at 3:00 p.m. Tuesday, December 12th in Missouri State Veterans Cemetery, Higginsville, MO. All are welcome to attend and celebrate the life of Curtis Wallace.
Curtis was born on October 1, 1962, in Laurens, South Carolina. He served in the Army as a Sergeant from 1984-1991, with some of the fondest years spent stationed in Germany. He was a truck driver for FedEx Freight. Curtis loved to golf, loved his country, and was a member of the NRA. He loved, most of all, to spend time with his kids and grandkids. He was a proud father and grandfather. Curtis was the type of person who would give the shirt off his back to help anyone.
His survivors include his father, Curtis Wallace; his brother, Mell Wallace; his son, Christopher Simmons (Becka); his daughters: Diane Love (Jerrett), Amanda Abbott (Jeff), and Hope Wallace; and his grandchildren: Jayden Love, Avery Abbott, Kaydence Abbott, and Cameron Abbott. He was preceded in death by his mom, Linda Wallace.
