Ann Janette Kirkpatrick Whitworth, died April 16, 2015 surrounded by her family in Kansas City, Missouri.  Her funeral service will be held at 4:00 p.m. Monday, April 20th at First Baptist Church of Oak Grove.  The family will receive friends from 2:00 p.m. until service time.  In lieu of flowers, please make donations in her name to the Local Mission Fund at First Baptist Church of Oak Grove or to the Little People of America.

Ann was born on September 3, 1931 in St. Louis, MO to Bernie and Anna Mae Kirkpatrick. She is preceded in death by her parents and her sister, Bernice Hofer.  Ann was a housewife, she loved the Lord, her husband, and her family.  She was a prayer warrior, a friend, and a supporter of singles ministry around the state. Ann was a loving wife to Dr. Glade Whitworth, a mother to five, a grandmother to 13, and a great-grandmother to 3.  She is survived by her husband Dr. Glade Whitworth; her oldest son, Kirk (Leigh Anne) Whitworth of Johnson County, Kansas, grandchildren Lauren (Mark) Hensel and great-granddaughter, Ruby, Alex, Amy, and Casey; her second son, Mark (Linda) Whitworth of Richmond, Virginia, and granddaughter Brooke; her third son, the Honorable Matt (Jeanie) Whitworth of Jefferson City, Missouri, grandsons Justin (Megan) Whitworth and great-granddaughters Drew and Blakely, Luke, Clayton, and Jordan; her daughter, Stacy (Clayton) O’Connor of Overland Park, Kansas, grandchildren Patrick and Kelly;  and her fourth son, Dr. Patrick (Lee Anne) Whitworth of Lee’s Summit, Missouri and grandchildren Erick and Lydia.
