Floyd D. Wilson, 68, of Blue Springs, Missouri, passed away Tuesday, April 25, 2006, after a long, courageous battle with Alzheimer’s. The family will receive friends from 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. on Saturday, April 29th at Royer Funeral Home, Grain Valley, MO. He will be cremated.
Floyd was born on October 1, 1937, in Beaver, Oklahoma, the son of Orvil and Nannie (Henton) Wilson. He married Sharon Helms on February 14, 1970. Floyd served in the United States Air Force. He was a former member of the Professional Bowler’s Association, active in Little League Baseball, Football, and Basketball in the Blue Springs area, and an avid Kansas City Chiefs fan.
His survivors include his wife of 36 years: Sharon Wilson of the home; one son: Tim Wilson & his wife, Christina, of Oak Grove, MO; and three grandchildren: Emily, Quincy, & Gracy.
