James Richard Wilson, 66, of Bates City, Missouri, passed away Friday, December 14, 2018. Services will be held at Royer Funeral Home in Oak Grove, MO, with visitation from 6:00 – 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday, December 18th, and funeral service at 10:00 a.m. on Wednesday, December 19th, followed by burial in Oak Grove Cemetery.
Richard was born January 2, 1952, in Webb City, Missouri, the son of Howard E. and Esther L. (Romine) Wilson. He owned and operated Agape Plumbing in Oak Grove. Richard enjoyed repairing cars, woodcarving, and reading his Bible, and had a knack for finding four-leaf clovers. He was a member of the Faith in Christ Fellowship in Oak Grove.
Richard was preceded in death by his parents and brother, Walter Wilson.
His survivors include his wife, Joy Wilson of the home; three daughters: Jayme Milligan (David) of Springfield, MO, Angela Miller of Bates City, and Megan Garvey (Shane) of Bates City; one son, Matthew Wilson of Bates City; seven grandchildren: Michael, Alexandrea, Abby, Vincent, Andrew, Satara, and Erik; and one brother, Daniel Wilson of WA.
