Virgil Arlen Winningham, 75, of Oak Grove, Missouri, passed away Wednesday, August 29, 2018. Inurnment in Missouri State Veterans Cemetery in Higginsville, MO, at a later date.
Virgil was born September 23, 1942, in Kansas City, Missouri, the son of Vergil W. and Viola G. (Fern) Winningham. He was a graduate of Southeast High School and served in the U.S. Air Force. Virgil was an over the road truck driver for 35 years. He enjoyed racing cars and riding his Harley. Virgil was a servant of Christ Jesus and a member of Paradise Outfitters in Oak Grove. He was a loving husband, father, and grandfather.
Virgil was preceded in death by his parents, and brother Jack Winningham.
His survivors include his wife, Cindy Winningham of the home; three sons: Richard Winningham (Laura) of Raymore, MO, Russell Winningham of Independence, MO, and Randy Winningham (Patti) of Warsaw, MO; four grandchildren: Sarah Mayse (Josh) of Harrisonville, MO, Heidi Winningham of Harrisonville, Dakota Winningham of Raymore, and Molly Winningham of Harrisonville; six great-granddaughters; and two brothers: Dean Winningham of Sedalia, MO, and Ronald Winningham of Riverside, CA.
