Wayne L. Wuenschel, 88, of Oak Grove, Missouri, passed away Friday, May 8, 2015 at Centerpoint Medical Center, Independence, MO. A visitation will be held from 10:00 – 11:00 a.m. Monday, May 11th at Royer Funeral Home, Oak Grove, followed by funeral services at 12:00 p.m. at Missouri State Veterans Cemetery, Higginsville, MO. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to American Heart Association.
Wayne was born February 15, 1927 in St. Louis, Missouri, the son of Max and Margaret (Turner) Wuenschel. He married Faith Heinle in 1949. Wayne was an Air Force Veteran, a Mason, and a member of Local #2 of the Sheet Metal Union. He enjoyed doing crossword puzzles and camping in his RV.
His survivors include his wife, Faith Wuenschel of the home; son, Wayne (Debra) Wuenschel Jr. of Oak Grove; daughter, Debbi (Larry) Newcomer of Oak Grove; five grandchildren: Jason (Julie) Wuenschel, Joseph (Jill) Wuenschel, Julia (Neil) Bradshaw, Mandy (Todd) Robison, & Mark (Haley) Newcomer; and twelve great-grandchildren.
