Ralph Henry “Hank” Barker Jr., 47, of Odessa, Missouri, passed away on Friday, January 14, 2022, after a stint with Covid. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Monday, January 24th at First Baptist Church of Oak Grove, Oak Grove, MO; burial in Barker Family Cemetery in Odessa, MO. The family will receive friends from 1:00 p.m. until service time at the church. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to defray funeral expenses in care of Alicia Barker.
Hank was born on April 8, 1974, the son of Ralph H. Barker Sr. and Joy Grote. He married the love of his life, Valerie Parcel, on July 14, 1995. They loved each other tremendously and celebrated 26 years of marriage. Hank was a great husband and father. He was employed the last 9 years at Geiger Ready Mix. Hank enjoyed spending time with family and friends at the farmhouse. He was an avid Broncos fan and would tell you that the Broncos were “his” team.
Hank is survived by two daughters, Alicia Barker of Independence, MO, and Kasandra Barker of the home; and two sisters, Gerry Combs and Bonita Haynes.
