Nicholas Joseph Alonge of Independence, MO passed away suddenly March 6th at Centerpoint Medical Center. Nick was born October 18th, 1957 in Kansas City, KS. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, brother, friend, and the Pit Boss of A Little BBQ Joint. He was a well known and loved member of the community, often seen driving around in his Model A. Nick was preceded in death by his parents, Nicholas and Joella and his eldest son, Nicholas “Buddy” Alonge. Nick is survived by his wife Christine Alonge, his children, Nicole (Pat) Monahan, Christopher (Daniela) Alonge, Keri Shockey, Sara (Steven) Shockey and Tina Alonge, two sisters, Carol (Dennis) Reardon and Sallie Cloughley, 14 grandchildren and one great granddaughter and many many other close friends who became family. There will be a celebration of life at The Little BBQ Joint from 4PM to 7PM March 21st, 2022. Please join us and come reminisce with some stories, which was one of Nick’s favorite things to do.
