Frederic P. Leatz


Frederic Paul Leatz, 64, of Grain Valley, Missouri passed away on Saturday, April 2, 2022, at his home with family by his side after a long battle with cancer.  His funeral service will be held at 12:00 pm on Saturday, April 9, 2022 at Royer Funeral Home in Grain Valley, MO. The family will receive friends from 10:00 am until the start of the service. Fred was born April 8th, 1957 in Millington , Tennessee. The son of Richard F. and Judith C. (Winning) Leatz. Fred graduated from Raytown South High School in 1976. He began his career in the grocery industry before making the change to automotive sales. Fred spent the majority of his sales years with Mitch Crawford’s Holiday Motors and Victory Chrysler, where he earned the top performing award for Chrysler nationwide in 2019. His success can be attributed to his outgoing personality and his sarcastic sense of humor. Fred never met a stranger. Fred and Robin were married in 1993, They enjoyed going to the Kansas City Chiefs and the Royals games whenever possible. They especially enjoyed spending time with family and friends and their beloved pets. The family wishes to thank all the clinical team members at Research Hospital and the caregivers at Crossroads Hospice for their tireless and loving care. Fred was appreciative of the support he received from all of his caretakers as well as the support from his family and friends.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Richard and Judith Leatz and brother Mark Leatz.

He is survived by his wife, Robin (Smith) Leatz and his siblings, James Leatz, Mick and Deborah (Leatz) Cossairt, Ronald and Barbara (Leatz) Lang, Bill Leatz, David Leatz and many nieces and nephews.
