Owen L. Robinette, 72, of Oak Grove, MO went to be with the Lord December 16, 2012 surrounded by his family. Visitation will be 12:00-2:00 p.m. Wednesday December 19, 2012 at the First Baptist Church of Oak Grove, MO. Funeral Service will follow at 2:00 p.m. at the church. Burial in Odessa Cemetery, Odessa, MO.

Owen was born July 30, 1940 in Odessa, MO, the son of Russell and Mary Katherine Robinette. Owen was active in the community through his career as a painter and home remodeling. He served his church by serving on the Youth Committee 2 years, the Trustee Building and Grounds Committee for 20 years.
Owen graduated from Odessa High School in 1958. He played football and track in school. He coached little league football at Oak Grove. He married Georgia Couch on January 24, 1959. He enjoyed life, liked to fish, travel, and most of all he loved his family and especially his grandchildren.
Owen was preceded in death by his parents: Russell and Mary Katherine Robinette.
His survivors include his wife of 54 years, Georgia of the home; 1 son: Owen Dale & wife Debra of Oak Grove, MO; 1 daughter: Penny Lynn Nix & husband Charley of Oak Grove, MO; 4 grandchildren: Kyle Robinette of Lee’s Summit MO, Kala Capek & husband James of Edwards, MO, Whitney and Mikenna Hydorn both of Oak Grove, MO; 1 step-grandson; 3 step-great-grandchildren; 4 brothers: Winston & wife Connie Robinette of Kearney, MO, Burton & wife Ruby Robinette of Odessa, MO, Gary & wife Jeannie Robinette of Buckner, MO, Allen Dean & wife Chris of Sunrise Beach, MO; and many nieces, nephews and friends.
