Karen Jeannette Schaberg, 65, of Buckner, Missouri passed away peacefully at home on Wednesday, March 16, 2011. Services will be held at 1:00 p.m. Monday, March 21, 2011 at the First Baptist Church of Oak Grove, Oak Grove, MO. Burial in Oak Grove Cemetery, Oak Grove, MO. The family will receive friends from 2:00 to 4:00 p.m. Sunday, March 20, 2011 at Royer Funeral Home, Oak Grove, MO. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial contributions be made to Odyssey Hospice 800 East 101st Terrace, Kansas City, MO 64131
Karen was born January 28, 1946 in Braymer, MO to William and Helen (Wagy) Salley. She enjoyed fishing, golfing, traveling and the 30 years she spent at Oak Grove High School working with her many friends and students.
She was preceded in death by one son: Glenn W. Warren.
Her survivors include her loving husband of 26 years: Kim Schaberg of the home; one daughter: Stacey Bailey and husband Paul of Kansas City, MO; two step-sons: Mike Schaberg and wife Lisa of Lee’s Summit, MO, and Travis Schaberg of Bates City, MO, and one step-daughter: Marsha Case and husband Rusty of Lee’s Summit, MO; her parents: William and Helen Salley of Oak Grove, MO; one brother: Jim Salley and wife Harriette of Bates City, MO; four sisters: Linda Salley, Nancey Moore, Kathy Lewis and husband Jerry all of Oak Grove, MO, Carrie Anderson and husband Curt of Kansas City, MO; 7 grandchildren: Kory, Courtney, Kaitlin, Megan, Dustin, Karissa and Derek; and many nieces and nephews.
Karen will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her.
