Gary Clifton Brown, 67, of Blue Springs, Missouri, passed away Friday, February 13, 2009. Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. Monday, February 16th at Royer Funeral Home, Grain Valley, MO; burial in Blue Springs Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 4:00 – 6:00 p.m. Sunday, February 15th at the funeral home.
Gary was born June 3, 1941 in St. James, Missouri, the son of Jesse V. and Lenna M. (Dodds) Brown. He was a superintendent for J.A. Tobin Construction for 30 years. Gary enjoyed reading, gardening, and Chiefs football. He loved spending time with his family and grandchildren.
Gary was preceded in death by his father.
His survivors include his wife, Sharon, of the home; two daughters: Shelly Cunningham & husband, Hank, of Oak Grove, MO, & Shari Roberts & husband, Randy, of Grain Valley; four grandchildren: Ryan McAtee, Taylor Cunningham, Austin Cunningham, & Blake Roberts; his mother: Lenna Mae Brown of Overland Park, KS; two sisters: Karen Matteson of Kansas City, MO & Lynda Porter of Eugene, MO; three brothers: Jay V. Brown of Kansas City, MO, Steve Brown of Overland Park, KS, & Tim Brown of Blue Springs, MO.
