Elsie Lee Hatfield, 79, of Lee’s Summit, MO, passed away Saturday, March 14, 2009 at Jefferson Health Care, Lee’s Summit. Funeral services will be 11 am Thursday, March 19th at Oakwood Baptist Church, 7600 Lee’s Summit Rd., Kansas City, MO. The family will receive friends at the church from 10-11 am preceding the service. Burial will be in Lee’s Summit Cemetery.
Elsie was born May 23, 1929 in Independence, MO, the daughter of Clyde & Evelyn (Henderson) Hartman. She was married to Bobbie Hatfield on March 14, 1970 and he preceded her in death. A son, Larry Lee Howard also preceded her in death. Elsie had been employed by the Avon Company, retiring 20 years ago. She was a member of the Oakwood Baptist Church.
Her survivors include a daughter: Diana Raymond & husband Doug of Lee’s Summit; a son: Dr. Michael G. Howard & wife Monte of Dallas, TX; and three grandsons: Scott Raymond & wife Emily, Andy Raymond, and Sam Howard & wife Jessica.
