Frank J. Kincaid

Frank James Kincaid, 81, of Levasy, MO, passed away Saturday, March 14, 2009 at his home.  A visitation will be held from 6-8 pm Monday, March 16th at Royer Funeral Home, Oak Grove.  The funeral service will be 2 pm Tuesday, March 17th at Royer’s; burial in Buckner Cemetery, Buckner.

 Frank was born April 15, 1927 in Irontown, MO, the son of Charles & Emma (McMillen) Kincaid.  He married Evelyn Loraine Blair on February 29, 1947.  Frank was a US Army veteran of WWII, having been a member of the tank division.  He had been employed as a millwright at Allis Chalmers for 31 years, retiring in 1984.  He had served as Police Commissioner in Levasy from 1992-1994.

 Frank loved to fish.  Another hobby was building, repairing, and collecting clocks.  He enjoyed bluegrass and old time gospel music.  Frank played the banjo, fiddle, mandolin & guitar.  He was a great storyteller.

 His survivors include his wife Evelyn of the home; one son: Buddy Kincaid of Levasy; two daughters: Doris Swearingen & husband Wayne of Independence, and Sharon Stark & husband Karl of Parkville; four sisters: Eva Cooper of Odessa, Reba Holmes of Edwards,  June Smith of Climax Springs, and Rita Rimmer of Raytown; nine grandchildren; and sixteen great-grandchildren.
