Harriet Jane Stockbridge, 82, of Independence, MO, passed away Tuesday, April 14, 2009, at St. Luke’s East Hospital in Lee’s Summit, MO. She will be cremated; memorial services will be held at a later date. The family suggests memorial contributions to the First Lutheran ELCA Church in Mission Hills, KS.
Jane was born on January 14, 1927, on the family farm in Lafayette County, MO, the daughter of Charles Lane & Elizabeth Harriet (Guy) Triplett. She married Carl L. Stockbridge on July 16, 1948 and he preceded her in death on December 26, 2007. A son, Carl Lane Stockbridge, also preceded her in death in 1995. Jane was a member of the First Lutheran ELCA Church in Mission Hills, KS.
Her survivors include a son: Allan Stockbridge & wife Karen, and granddaughters Allison & Jill, all of Fairbanks, AK; a niece: Dianne Triplett of Independence, MO; a sister-in-law Mary Ingino of Raytown, MO.
