Tanner Douglas Twitchell, 17, of Oak Grove, MO, passed away on Monday, April 13, 2009. The family will receive friends from 2-4 p.m. on Sunday, April 19th at the First Baptist Church, 400 E. 14th St., Oak Grove. Funeral services will be 10 a.m. Monday, April 20th at the church, with burial following in Oak Grove Cemetery. The family suggests contributions to the Tanner D. Twitchell Memorial Fund, c/o Metcalf Bank, P.O. Box 927, Oak Grove, MO 64075.
Tanner was born on January 21, 1992, in Independence, MO, the son of Robert M. & Kelly D. (Fugate) Twitchell. He was a junior at Oak Grove High School and an employee at Wendy’s in Oak Grove.
His survivors include his parents; a sister: Loryn Twitchell; a brother: Caleb Twitchell; maternal grandmother: Ronda L. Bratten & husband Bruce of Leeton, MO; paternal grandmother: Judith W. Twitchell of Independence, MO, and paternal grandfather: Sanford I. Twitchell & wife Valerie of Independence, MO; several great-grandparents & numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, and a loving community of friends.
