Thomas Jeffery Boyd, 39, of Oak Grove, MO, passed away Thursday, May 21, 2009. A memorial gathering will be held from 5-6:30 p.m. on Tuesday, May 26th at St. Jude the Apostle Catholic Church, 2001 S. Broadway, Oak Grove. A Funeral Mass will follow at 7 pm. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests contributions to the American Diabetes Association.
Jeff was born on October 21, 1969, in Kansas City, MO, the son of John & Linda (Leach) Boyd. He was a 1988 graduate of Oak Grove High School. He was employed as an electrician. Jeff was a member of St. Jude Catholic Church. He loved sports, especially football, and was an avid Oklahoma Sooner fan. He also enjoyed playing golf.
Preceding Jeff in death were his paternal grandfather, Jim Boyd, and maternal grandmother, Elizabeth Saylor.
His survivors include his parents: John & Linda Boyd of Oak Grove; two daughters: Lindsey K. Boyd of Hummelstown, PA & Drew K. Boyd of Grain Valley; one son: T.J. Boyd of Grain Valley; two sisters: Julie M. Hitchcock & husband Jim of Bellville, IL, and Jonette E. Lawn & husband John of Hummelstown, PA; his maternal grandmother: Retha W. Boyd of Gravois Mills, MO; three nieces: Gracie, Emma and Bridget; and many aunts, uncles, cousins and friends
