Laveda Williams

Laveda Williams, 77, of Oak Grove, Missouri passed away Monday, May 11, 2009 at her home. 

 

Visitation will be held on Thursday, May 14 from 6 to 8 pm at Royer Funeral Home, Oak Grove, MO. Funeral service will be Friday May 15 at 11 am with burial following at Floral Hills East Cemetery.  The family suggests memorial contributions to Vitas Hospice, 10000 W 75th St., Suite 240, Overland Park, KS 66204.

 

Laveda was born September 17, 1931 in Salem Arkansas, the daughter of Claude and Opal (Foster) Richardson.  On July 21, 1961 she married Donald G. Williams.  Together the couple lived in Raytown for thirty-nine years before moving to Oak Grove in 2000. Laveda loved being with her family, bird watching, nature, spending her winters in Texas, fishing and visiting the Lake of the Ozarks. 

 

Laveda is survived by her husband: Don Williams of the home; two sons; Gary Gene Farrell and wife Barbara of Independence, MO, and Michael Williams and wife Mary of Oak Grove, MO;  two daughters: Doneda Swenson and husband Scott of Oak Grove, MO, and Rebecca Boucher and husband Joseph of Bates City, MO;  one Brother: James Cosby Richardson of Warsaw, MO;  three sisters: Norma Reinert of Pleasant Hill, MO, Nadine Neuffer of Valparaiso, IN, and Janie Hiller of Overland Park, KS;  Eight grandchildren and Seven great grandchildren.
