Gary DeWayne Hancock, 38, of Odessa, Missouri, passed away on June 22, 2009 at St. Mary’s Hospital of Blue Springs. A Memorial Service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Friday, June 26th at Royer Funeral Home, Oak Grove. The family will receive friends from 12:30-2:00 pm preceding the service.
Gary was born on November 16, 1970 in Kansas City, MO, the son of Michael & Nikki (Poloney) Hancock. He married Kelly Cox on July 28, 2001. Gary was a veteran of the US Army, a member of Sugar Creek VFW Post #3976, and American Legion Post #21 of Independence. He was also a member of KCPMC. He was employed at Lake City.
His survivors include his wife Kelly of the home; three daughters: Jessica & Elizabeth Hancock, both of Independence, and Natasha Sullivan of the home; his mother: Nikki Green of Sugar Creek; his father: Mike Hancock & wife Charlotte of Raymore; two sisters: Lori Suiter & husband Darryl of Independence, & Tammi Kee & husband Tom of Raytown; and two nephews: Christopher Kee of Raytown and Dylan Suiter of Independence.
