Timothy Gale Swearngin, 53, of Oak Grove, MO, passed away Sunday, July 26, 2009 at Centerpoint Medical Center, Independence. Funeral services will be 10:00 a.m. Thursday, July 30th at the Oak Grove United Methodist Church; burial in Oak Grove Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6:00-8:00 p.m. Wednesday at Royer Funeral Home, Oak Grove. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests contributions to a scholarship fund to be established for his children, in care of Roberta Swearngin.
Tim was born on May 23, 1956, in Independence, MO, the son of Gale & Brooksie (Thomas) Swearngin. He married Roberta Lea Kindle on March 23, 1985. Tim was employed as the Production Manager for Liquid Soap in Blue Springs. He was a member of the Oak Grove United Methodist Church.
Tim was preceded in death by his parents; a brother, Joseph Swearngin, and a sister, Linda Swearngin.
His survivors include his wife: Roberta Swearngin, a son: Corey Swearngin, and a two daughters: Laura & Kelsey Swearngin, all of the home; two brothers: Tom Swearngin & wife Donna of Smithville, MO, and Phil Swearngin & wife Nancy of Kearney, MO; his father- & mother-in-law: Robert & Wanda Kindle of Odessa, MO; a sister-in-law: Kathy Swearngin of Blue Springs; a brother- & sister-in-law: Dennis & Teresa Thompson of Odessa, MO; and many nieces & nephews.
Tim was a loving husband, father, brother, uncle & friend. He will be sadly missed.
