Howard William Gillette, 70, of Oak Grove, Missouri, passed away Tuesday, August 18, 2009. Funeral services will be held at 11:30 a.m. Saturday, August 22nd at Royer Funeral Home, Grain Valley, MO; burial in Koger Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 10:00 a.m. until service time at the funeral home.
Howard was born on December 28, 1938, in Kansas City, MO, the son of Art and Lela (Reed) Gillette. He served in the United States Army. Howard was a fireman.
He is preceded in death by his wife, Edna Gillette.
His survivors include his daughter, Ginger Sloan; his son, Steve Gillette & wife Alison; grandchildren: Sarah Sloan, Jared Sloan, Aden Gillette & William Gillette; a great-grandson: Brayden Martin; two brothers: Art Gillette & Vester Gillette; and three sisters: Judy Goode, Rose Wheeler & Chris Mitchell.
