Wilfried Henry “Benny” Bennholz, 78, of Independence, MO, passed away Sunday, September 20, 2009 at Centerpoint Medical Center. Services will be private. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests contributions to The Michael J. Fox Foundation for Parkinson’s Research, Attn: Tribute Gifts, Church Street Station, P.O. Box 780, New York, NY 10008-0780. Please write “In Memory of Benny Bennholz” in the memo portion of your check.
Benny was born on December 25, 1930, in Lengde, Germany, the son of Wilhelm & Roberta (Bolanz) Bennholz. He married Patricia L. Campbell on December 27, 1963. Benny was employed at the General Motors Leeds Plant as a machinist in the tool & die department. He retired in 1991.
His survivors include his wife of 45 years: Patricia Bennholz of the home; one daughter: Elizabeth Allgeyer & her husband Kevin of Lee’s Summit, MO; two grandchildren: Benjamin & Emily Allgeyer; and one brother: Wolfgang Bennholz of Germany.
