Jordan Patrick Smith, 11, of Oak Grove, Missouri, passed away Sunday, October 18, 2009 at Children’s Mercy Hospital, Kansas City, Missouri. A memorial service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Friday, October 23, 2009, Royer Funeral Home, Grain Valley, Missouri. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 1:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. preceding the service. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial contributions to Children’s Mercy Hospital.
Jordan was born on October 15, 1998 to Keith and Denese (Inman) Smith. Jordan was a fifth grader at Oak Grove Elementary School. He loved playing video games, shooting pool, listening to music, riding bikes, and being with his friends.
His survivors include his parents: Keith and Denese Smith of the home; his brothers and sisters: Melisha Monteer, Tony Smith, Anthony Buck, Hannah Buck, and Ashlee McGhee; his grandparents: Kenneth Inman of Salem, MO and Jim and Becky Smith of Mayview, MO.
