Curtis Russell Shinabargar, 69, of Oak Grove, MO, passed away Sunday, November 29, 2009 at St. Mary’s Hospital in Blue Springs, MO. Services will be held 2 p.m., Wednesday, December 2, 2009 at the Royer Funeral Home, Grain Valley, MO. The family will receive friends from 1 to 2 p.m. preceding the service. Burial in the Valley Memorial Gardens Cemetery, Grain Valley, MO.
Curtis was born January 27, 1940 in Hopkins, MO to Claude A. and Dorothy (Harmon) Shinabargar. On August 8, 1958 Curt married the love of his life, Cecelia (Lonzo) Shinabargar. He was dispatcher for MGE and a member of the Oak Grove Restoration Church.
He was preceded in death by his parents Claude and Dorothy Shinabargar and one sister; Jo Nell Shaffer.
His survivors include his wife of 51 years, Cece of the home, three sons; Mike Shinabargar of Orrville, OH, Mark Shinabargar of Oak Grove, MO and Eric Shinabargar of Lincoln, MO, One brother; Verlin Shinabargar of Independence, MO, and one sister; Charlene Amos of Independence, MO, 5 grandchlidren and 2 great grandchildren.
