Roger Lee Miller, 73, of Oak Grove, MO, passed away Saturday, November 28, 2009 at St. Mary’s Hospital in Blue Springs, MO. A Memorial Service will be held 7:00 p.m., Tuesday, December 1, 2009 at the Royer Funeral Home, Grain Valley, MO. The family will receive friends from 5 to 7 p.m. preceding the service. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial contributions to the American Heart Association.
Roger was born April 29, 1939 in Shackelford, MO to Henry and Pauline (Knopf) Miller. On August 15, 1959 Roger married the love of his life, Janet Marie (Wienberg) Miller. He worked for Hallmark Cards, Inc. of Kansas City as a Large Press Operator, was a member of Shepherd of the Valley Lutheran Church in Oak Grove, MO, the American Legion in Blackburn, and was also a member of the NRA.
He was preceded in death by his father Henry Miller and one brother Clyde Miller.
His survivors include his wife Janet Miller of the home, his mother Pauline Miller of Alma, MO, three sons; Mike Miller of Independence, MO, David Miller of Oak Grove, MO, Nathan Miller of Decatur, AL, two daughters; Ruth Miller of Blue Springs, MO, and Tricia Schiefelbusch of Lone Jack, MO, one brother; Ellis Miller of Lee’s Summit, MO, one sister; Bev Spotts of Alma, MO, and nine grandchildren.
