Stephen John Berend, 82, of Blue Springs, MO, passed away Saturday, December 12, 2009 at the Osage Beach Health Care Center, Osage Beach, MO. A Memorial gathering will be held with full military honors on Saturday, January 2, 2010 at American Legion Post 499, 499 Southwest 7 Hwy, Blue Springs, MO. The family will receive friends for Stephen’s remembrance at 2:00 p.m.
A private burial will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, January 4, 2010 at the Missouri State Veterans Cemetery, Higginsville, MO.
