Steven John Berend, 82, of Blue Springs, MO, passed away Saturday, December 12, 2009 at the Osage Beach Health Care Center. Private Memorial services are pending at Missouri Veterans Cemetery, Higginsville, MO.
Steven was born May 23, 1927 in Cedar Township, Iowa, the son of John & Veda (Mathes) Berend. He was an Army veteran of the Korean War. He had been employed as a heavy equipment operator.
He is survived by five daughters and two sons.
