Angela Jean Baker, 38, of Oak Grove, MO, passed away Friday, April 9, 2010 at Menorah Medical Center. A Memorial Service will be held at 7:00 p.m. Tuesday, April 13, 2010 at the First Baptist Church of Oak Grove. The family will receive friends at the church from 6:00–7:00 p.m. preceding the service. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests contributions to the Humane Society, 5445 Parallel Pkwy, Kansas City, KS 66104 or the First Baptist Church Building Fund, P.O. Box 129, Oak Grove, MO 64075.
Angela was born on October 4, 1971 in Independence, MO, the daughter of Tom & Judy (Johnson) Baker. She graduated from Redan High School in Stone Mountain, GA in 1990. Angela lived in Lake St. Louis for 9 years before returning to Oak Grove in 2008. She had been employed as a computer specialist and Vice President of Envision of St. Louis. Angela loved kids and animals, and was drawn to anything or anyone in need of her unique ability to help. This included giving the gift of life through organ donation after passing.
Her survivors include her parents and a son, Bear Baker of the home; a sister, Christine Dickens, and a niece, Morgan Dickens, both of San Antonio, TX; and her maternal grandparents: Bob & Norvetta Johnson of Syracuse, MO.
Angela was a loving mother, daughter, sister and friend. She will be lovingly remembered by all who knew her.
