Cheryl Ann Mahnke, 54, of Oak Grove, Missouri passed away Sunday, June 27, 2010. Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Thursday, July 1, 2010 at Royer Funeral Home, Oak Grove. The family will receive friends Wednesday, June 30, from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial contributions to Good Shepherd Hospice, 7611 State Line Road, Kansas City, MO 64114 or Faith In Christ Fellowship Church, 101 Southwest 21st Street, Broadway, Oak Grove, MO 64075.
Cheryl was born on July 9, 1955 in Kansas City, MO, the daughter of Wilbur C. and Gladys M. (Thomas) Alford-Orcutt. She was a member of the Faith in Christ Fellowship Church in Oak Grove, MO, the Relay for Life ACS, and the Oak Grove Band Boosters.
She was preceded in death by her father; Wilbur C. Alford, Sr.; her maternal grandparents: Frank Thomas and Gertrude Hamilton; and her paternal grandparents: Charles C. and Alice Laura Alford.
Her survivors include her husband: Robert D. Mahnke of the home; two daughters: Jordin M. Mahnke and Joyce Atwell, both of Oak Grove, MO; two step-sons: Jaime W. Mahnke of Kansas City, MO and Jacob M. Mahnke of Blue Springs, MO; her parents: Henry C. and Gladys M. Orcutt of Kingsville, MO; one brother: Jay Alford, Jr. & wife Becky of Nash, TX; four sisters: Candace S. Alford & husband Michael of Independence, MO, Cheryl George, Flavia Talley, and Jackie Maggerd, all of Oak Grove, MO; 2 grandchildren: Lauren Atwell and Elliott Atwell of Oak Grove; 3 nieces, 3 nephews, and 9 great nieces and nephews.
