Lillian Rose Kottman, 71, of Grain Valley, MO passed away Saturday, July 24, 2010 in her home. Services will be held 11:00 a.m., Wednesday, July 28, 2010 at the Royer Funeral Home-Grain Valley, MO. Burial in the Grain Valley Cemetery-Grain Valley, MO. Visitation will be from 6 p.m. to 7 p.m., Tuesday, July 27, 2010 at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial contributions be made to Timothy Lutheran Church- 425 Northwest RD Mize Road- Blue Springs, MO 64014.
Lillian was born January 4, 1939 in Sweet Springs, MO to Otto and Laura (Bauer) Heins. On February 2, 1957 Lillian was married to the love of her life: Arthur Earnest Kottman. She loved to garden, was an avid world traveler and an active member of the Timothy Lutheran Church in Blue Springs, MO.
She was preceded in death by her husband: Arthur Earnest Kottman; her parents: Otto and Laura Heins; 2 brothers: Harold Heins and Ralph Heins; and 5 sisters: Winnie Weigant, Ellanora Bokelman, Iola Brouk, Esther Doyle, and Marjorie Watts.
Her survivors include one son: Monte Kottman his wife Julie of Lone Jack, MO; two daughters: Karen Angel her husband Terry, and Brenda Hayden all of Oak Grove, MO; one sister: Laura Jean Herdman of Lake Lotawana, MO; and 3 grandchildren: Justin Green, Stephanie Green, and Katie Kottman.
