Judith Fay Lunceford, 55, of Odessa, MO, passed away Wednesday, September 1, 2010. A graveside service will be held at 2:30 p.m. Saturday, September 4, 2010 at Concord Cemetery, south of Bates City, MO. The family will receive friends from 12:00- 1:00 p.m. Saturday at Royer Funeral Home, Oak Grove, MO.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial contributions be made to the American Diabetes Association: Kansas City Office-10580 Barkley, Suite 400, Overland Park, KS 66212.
Judith was born September 26, 1954 in Kansas City, MO the daughter of Oscar and Floy (Lee) Lyon. On May 10th, 1983 she was married to Donald K. Lunceford, Jr. She worked as an activities coordinator for St. Mary’s Manor Nursing Home and was a member of the Concord Baptist Church.
She was preceded in death by her parents: Oscar and Floy Lyon; two brothers: Bob and Donnie Lyon; and one sister: Dorothy Barcher.
Her survivors include her husband: Donald K. Lunceford, Jr. of the home; three sons: Donnie Lunceford, III of Warrensburg, MO, John Lunceford and Shelton Lunceford both of Odessa, MO; one daughter: Laura Lunceford of Independence, MO; three brothers: Pete Lyon of Blue Springs, MO, Jack Lyon of Lone Jack, MO and Larry Lyon of Warsaw, MO; 9 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren.
