Donald Max Rector, 62, of Oak Grove, Missouri, passed away Tuesday, October 26, 2010 at St. Mary’s Medical Center, Blue Springs. A Memorial gathering and service will be held from 2 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. Sunday, October 31, at Royer Funeral Home, Oak Grove, Missouri. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial contributions be made to the family to help defray final expenses.
Donald was born on May 4, 1948 in Kansas City, MO, the son of William and Cressie (Casteel) Rector. On December 27, 1968, Donald married the love of his life: Mary Ann (Atkinson) Rector. He was a production worker for a shingle manufacturer. He loved fishing, camping, mowing lawns, and spending quality time with his family and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents and 10 brothers and sisters.
His survivors include his wife: Mary Rector of the home; and one sister: Doris Downey of Warsaw, MO; many nieces, nephews, family and friends.
