Deanna LaVon Grasher, 69, of Blue Springs, MO passed away Thursday, November 11, 2010 at the Oak Grove Nursing & Rehab Center, Oak Grove, MO. Funeral services will be 2:00 p.m. Monday, November 15 at Royer Funeral Home, Oak Grove, MO; burial in Sni Mills Cemetery, Oak Grove. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 12:00- 2:00 p.m. preceding the service. In lieu of flowers, the family suggest memorial contributions to the Alzheimer’s Association-Heart of America Chapter, 3846 West 75th Street, Prairie Village, KS 66208.
Deanna was born September 7, 1941 in Independence, MO, the daughter of Harold N. & Ellen L. (Cutshall) Cox. She married Charles L. Grasher, Jr. on July 25, 1964. Dee worked as a Real Estate Broker, was a member of the National Realtors Association, and a member of the Oak Grove Restoration Branch Church.
She was preceded in death by her parents: Harold and Ellen Cox; and one sister: Donna Brown.
Her survivors include her husband of 46 years: Charles L. Grasher, Jr. of the home; two sons: Scott A. Grasher of Independence, MO and Dr. Jody L. Grasher, D.C. and wife Tricia of Oak Grove, MO; one daughter: Staci L. Grasher of Independence, MO; one brother: Larry H. Cox and wife Jean of Calhoun, MO; seven grandchildren, one great grandson, and several nieces and nephews.
